Robin Krieg Mentor
- Senior Lead Creative Designer, Cadillac Exteriors
Born and raised in Ohio, Robin received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati in 2002. While working on his degree, he had the opportunity to intern at such companies as Philips Electronics and Johnson & Johnson. These experiences helped round out his extensive industrial design background before accepting a designer position at General Motors in 2002.
The chance to work at General Motors was a dream come true and something he had aspired to from a young age. Robin began his career at the General Motors Design Center in Warren, Michigan and in 2004, moved to California to the GM Advanced Design Studio in Los Angeles. It was there that he honed his skills working on advanced projects for Chevrolet and Cadillac.
Cadillac struck a chord with Robin, and in 2007 he earned a place in the UK General Motors Advanced Design studio. While in England, he became a lead designer, penning the Cadillac Converj concept which was unveiled at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Shortly afterwards, he returned to the United States resuming the role of lead designer in the Cadillac Studio. His most recent achievements include lead designer of the 2014 Cadillac CTS, 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Series and Cadillac XT5.
